Rum Cake Recipe
Rum Cake Recipe Ingredients:
1/2 cup chopped Pecans
1 18.25 oz. box Cake Mix
1 small box instant Vanilla Pudding
4 Eggs
1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
1/2 cup Water
1/2 cup Dark Rum
Glaze
1 stick or 1/2 cup Butter
1 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Water
1/4 cup Rum
Time: 1 hour
Serves: 10
Rum Cake Recipe Instructions:
Heat oven to 325°F.
Spray a non-stick pan with cooking spray and sprinkle pecans in the bottom of it.
Put cake mix, pudding, eggs, oil, water and rum in a large bowl.
Mix with an electric mixer for 3 minutes then pour in prepared pan or tin and bake for 1 hour.
Prepare glaze by combing all glaze ingredients except rum in a saucepan and bring to a boil for 1 minute.
Remove from the heat then add the rum. When the cake is done.
remove the Cake from the oven and pierce thoroughly with a toothpick.
Quickly pour glaze over the top.
Allow the Cake to cool completely before removing the cake from the pan or tin.
Rum Cake Recipe Cooking Time:
Cooking time 1 Hour.
Store in a airtight Cake tin.
Allow to Cool before serving.
Rum Cake Recipe Serving Instructions:
Serve with Double Cream, Custard, Fresh Cream.
Serve with Afternoon Tea.
